Guatemalan Consulate Los Angeles: Authentications/Legalizations
The Consulate in Los Angeles services California, Hawaii, Nevada, and the Pacific Islands.
We courier your documents to the County, Secretary of State, and to the Consulate.
Your first step is to get your document/s notarized; county sealed (in states where applicable), and State Sealed (separate page attached) by the Secretary of State (Lt. Governor - Hawaii). In California, documents no longer need to be County authenticated unless your birth certificate was issued by the Dept. of Health. You may send your notarized documents, County issued birth and marriage certificates, and divorce decrees directly to us to courier your documents to the CA Secretary of State in Los Angeles.
When sending your package, always send it by FedEX, ExpressMail, UPS, etc. (trackable service).

Cashier's check or money order made payable to the Guatemalan Consulate or you may include the fees to the Red Tape Solution payment.

Check (personal, business, cashier's check, or money order) payable to Red Tape Solution for courier fees, credit card, or you may pay by PayPal. There is an additional 3.5% charge for paying by PayPal.

Prepaid return airbill such as Fed Ex, Express mail, UPS, etc. UPS Store account numbers will not be accepted. If using your UPS account number, your name and address must be in the sender's information.

It is advisable to send your packages by a trackable means (Fed Ex, Express Mail, UPS, etc.).
